MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER (MCO) EXTENDED TO 4 FEBRUARY 2021

Following the Government’s continuous effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, the MCO has been extended to 4 February 2021 to further curb the spread of the pandemic.

In the statement issued by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in regards to the operations of Private Higher Educational Institutions during MCO; admission of students to campuses is allowed subjected to the preparation and steps taken by the institute to ensure the adherence of the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the National Security Council and the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH). Further to this, hybrid classes and fully online classes are strongly encouraged while research activities that require laboratory facilities are allowed with strict SOPs.

In line with these guidelines, SEGi has taken steps to ensure online classes are on-going as per the arrangement by the respective faculties. Students are to continue communicating with the faculty members regarding classes, examinations, research, and any activities related to their studies.

SEGi College Sarawak which is under the state’s CMCO until 31 January 2021, will maintain the current arrangements where students attend hybrid classes. Any further updates will be provided by the campus accordingly.

Students are reminded to adhere to the rules under the MCO, including avoiding any form of traveling or gathering with peers during this period.

All operational and management employees are to refer to their respective Heads of Department (HOD) and contact respective Human Resource Management (HRM) office for clarification regarding work arrangements and the business continuity plan within the said period.
